When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle,
When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,
Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

The Story –
A professor stood before his philosophy class
 and had some items in front of him.
When the class began, wordlessly,
He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured
them into the jar.   He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.  They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
 Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively
filling the empty space between the sand.  The students laughed.

‘Now,’ said the professor,   as the laughter subsided,
‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things – family,
children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –
Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else –The small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’  He continued,
there is no room for  the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,
You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So…

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play With your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

‘Take care of the golf balls first –
The things that really matter.
Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.’

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.
‘I’m glad you asked’.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there’s always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.’

may 09 was a good month. mum was here, i got home-made dinner everyday and i left office early each day. oh wait, did i mention, after dinner i continued wid work – anyway not imp.

it is always good to spend time wid family, thanks to mum i got to see my bro a little more. but what an irony, he jus finished his exams andmum has left. he now has 2 weeks of holidays and yes, nothing to do. damn, i would kill for that!

so yea, back to mum’s visit. initial days were quite decent; we stayed home most of the time cause she has already seen singapore enough. you know, the usual tourist thing. so we jus spent time at home, talking, she doing her things, i doing my stuff, eating, relaxing. actually, i didnt even go out much. there was no party no outings.towards the end of the month mum’s friends came by.

i know reena aunty quite well, but did know her other frend much. moreover, the other frend’s daughter happened to be my senior from school, a girl whom i never spoke to much back then. once i met all of them, i knew i will be having fun for the next few days.basically i was assigned as their tour guide so i sort of planned their itenary.

they had a good time here, i suppose, and it was great meeting my senior. we actually managed to hit off well. towards the end of their trip, i had done enuf shopping, but nothing compared to the amt of stuff they had bought! i bought my handphone, Nokia E71 and mum bought me a nice white mango dress for my bday.

they left on a tuesday, i was sad.

my two housemates left on friday, i am sad.

my mum left today, i am still very sad.

my 3rd housemate is leaving on 12th, i am so gonna be sadder.

my birthday will be at my colleagues’ mercy and i am sure it will be memorable.

oh, yea, cant wait to hang out wid them again; it has been a while!

i havent watched, 1, 2 or 3 but i watched 4, and guess what, i njoyed it!

we were working on friday which was a public holiday btw; and then suddenly vivian is like lets go watch movie at the end of the day! so we went for 9.50 vivocity fast n furious 4.

selwyn was quite excited about the movie while vivian and i jus felt dumb, we knew no head or tail abt the movie! so then selwyn sat down to explain jus 1-2-&-3 over dinner.

we sit n the cinema waiting for the movie to start, and wow we go wid the first scene! i guess only the initial scene was over the top, else the entire movie was jus way too cool. cars and more fast cars, damn nice. and this wasnt one of those make-no-sense-action-movie, it actually had a pretty decent story too! now actually, i wanna catch part 1 too!!!
